Oh what a weekend! It was SO nice to have a couple days off and spend some time with my mom and Mimi back in Baltimore. But now it's time to get back to the grind - workouts, eating healthy, getting sh!t done, and trying to get in bed by 10pm (don't worry I'm not total grandma status... I just like to read to try and fall asleep haha). Y'all know I love my white pants more than anything... While I'm a dress or romper girl through and through my white pants are always a no fail option in my closet. They pair with just about anything and are the perfect back drop for the millions of accessories I have haha #guilty. I love how the neutral outfit really allows my earrings and straw purse to steal the show. When you have a purse this neon and earrings this gorgeous they're supposed to take center stage! Is everyone ready for the week ahead? I've got a super super fun weekend ahead so I'm already counting down the days... even though it's Monday ;)
Finding little dresses for summer has always been a favorite pastime of mine. Some girls love wearing shorts but I am a dress lover through and through. Maxi, babydoll, A-line, you name it, I love it. When I saw this chambray number at Target I picked it up without even looking at the price (spoiler alert: it's $23) because I knew it would be perfect for the summer. Wear it to the beach as a coverup, throw on a sweater for dinner, or even take a long car ride in it! The cut of the top makes it stylish but the roomy skirt makes it a foodies dream... bring on the crab feast! I dressed this number up with a gorgeous tassel necklace, wedges, and my new purse (aka my baby - y'all know I love my purses like children hehe). I've had so much fun with this new purse... I think I accessorize it as much as I do myself. It's fun to change up the scarf I tie around the handle, add on a keychain, or just let it shine on its own! Looking forward to styling these pieces together again and on their own a lot this summer!
I am allllll about the off the shoulder trend! I'm so happy that it's sticking around - last year I was obsessed too (check out these posts from last year: striped dress, green dress, light blue shirt, and embroidered shirt). There's something so feminine about showing off your shoulders. It's also such an easy way to begin transitioning into spring! Long sleeves and cute little ties right at the wrist make it comfortable while staying fashionable and just warm enough. I picked this shirt up from Lulu's at the end of last year and have worn it multiple times! It's my go-to going out shirt :) I love it paired with black pants and strappy heels as well! What do y'all think about the off the shoulder trend. Yay or Nay?
Earlier last month I traveled to Charleston for a blog conference and boy was it hot and humid. I've found myself reaching for olive green time and time again this summer and my outfits for Charleston were no exception. I wanted a more casual look for the last day and I instantly fell in love with this white top and shorts combo. Super comfortable, breathable, while still being trendy. I'm excited to wear this top with high waisted jeans and a scarf when it gets a bit cooler out! One thing for certain is that olive green will be coming with me into the Fall season as well. I've got the PERFECT olive maxi coming soon ;)
Thanks for being patient with this little blog during the radio silence... I've attempted to write a "coffee date" post to explain myself but words get carried away and I begin writing a novel and I lose touch with my purpose for even sharing. I hope that I find the strength to accept my new found reality soon but for now I'm finding solace in the comfort of a routine - something that's taken me a couple weeks to figure out.
