{Nordstrom Anniversary Sale | my wish list}

 Tomorrow the sale opens up to all Nordstrom card holders! I actually only have the debit card :) so this really helps me stay within my budget because it's directly attached to my checking account. All of the cardholders that could shop days ago had "status" aka they've spent a certain amount of money within the last year to hit that level #themoreyouknow. Since I have a card with Nordstrom I still get early access - I think it's worth it to just get a card for two reasons: you earn points as you shop (aka rewards) & access to the sale before it hits the public. However, if you have a hard time paying off cards this ain't for you!!

Today I wanted to share with y'all my wish list items! There's no way I am actually going to buy everything on this list (nor could I afford it) and  some of the items are currently sold out anyways... so I may make a game time decision at 9:30am ET tomorrow haha. I do know that I'm 100% getting those black leather booties because I don't have a pair and I pretty much exclusively wear boots/booties during the Fall or Winter (when I travel, I know it's hot as hell in Key West right now...). I'm also definitely getting the Zella leggings and sports bra because so many of y'all have recommended them to me in the past. Then I will pick up one new sweater, one new necklace, and one new cardigan. I haven't made my mind up on which one to snag yet! The beauty products would be restocks and gifts so I don't see why I wouldn't get those on sale right now! I'm lusting after that leather jacket but not sure if I'm ready to pull the plug. There are tons of cheaper options but of course my picky self prefers this one haha isn't that how it always goes?

What items do y'all have on your wish list? Check out my full Nordstrom Anniversay Sale 2020 post - I'm sharing my picks from each category and I've marked the items I've purchased and loved in past years with a little anchor!

{Nordstrom Anniversary Sale | 2020}

Okay so by now I'm sure y'all know all the details about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale... fondly known as the #NSale! It's opened to a couple of cardholders already (I personally can't shop until August 13th). I'm late sharing my picks but I was trying to gather a feel from the crowd and really search through everything. I've covered this sale the past couple of years but obviously this year is different with the times. However, the best thing about this year is that you can "wish list" your favorite items. Lots of things are already sold out but they normally restock before each level opens up and before the sale goes live for the public. Personally, some things I want are already sold out... fingers crossed some of my favorites come back! (I will be sharing my personal picks later!)

I asked y'all how you wanted to see items shared and the majority said by category versus style like I've done in the past. So I've created a LOT of categories. I also included the prices of each item and what the price will be after the sale. I wanted this blog post to act like a mini catalog for you. So you don't have to compare prices or be surprised by something. I always have a budget going into this sale so I hope this is helpful!

**As a reminder, I may make a small commission when you use my links and then shop through them! Lots of bloggers push this sale on their readers with lots of items because it's a "click war" to get their cookies on your computer during the sale. Basically, if you click my link riiiight before making a purchase I benefit from that click - roughly 7-10% goes to me! (I have no clue who purchases and what's being purchased though) This allows me to keep Southern Anchors running so that I can bring you new style ideas and dedicate time to putting posts like this together - it means the world that y'all support me... seriously!**

{July Amazon Clothing Haul}

I'm so excited for today's post... who doesn't love amazing Amazon finds! When I was cleaning/purging my closet last week I decided to round up all of the clothing items I purchased in July and loved!! Plus two accessories that I juuuust got in - I've gotten some other accessories but I've already shared them here and there so they aren't featured in these photos. I'm really excited for the white dresses especially :) they're perfect options for any brides (or for white dress lovers like myself haha). I'm sharing videos of everything in this post in my Instagram stories today! I will be sure to save it all to a highlight as well.

I'm not going to lie - I grabbed this maxi because I knew Kyle would love this color! I loved the sweet little flowers all over it with pink in the middle. The smocked top is super comfortable and doesn't dig or feel tight across the top at all!

I technically got this jumpsuit in May but "lost" it in my closet... it fell off the hanger & I was so confused as to where it had gone. So it's being rediscovered and introduced with July because it's that good! I wore this on a sunset sail with Kyle and it was so comfortable to move in even when we were hot. I love the unique leg splits up the side - it has built in shorts so don't worry you won't expose too much skin!

The details on this dress are just out of this world! The gold balls on the end of the ties are metal (not cheap plastic), the ruffles are perfect, the sides go a little bit higher, the shoulder ties, and the amazing fabric with swiss dots. I couldn't believe how high quality this dress was. It's lined as well so you don't have to worry about it being see-through. If you're a bride this is a MUST purchase. How precious would this be on a honeymoon? Or even on a date night at your own house :)

Pink Midi Dress // Size Small

I have a thing for shoulder ties this summer... I'm beginning to notice more and more that it's a detail I really gravitate towards. It's such an easy way to add a little feminine detail. The shape of the dress itself is really flattering with the hi-lo hem on the skirt, the blousy top, and the nipped in waist with elastic. This dress came with a matching tie belt but I thought it was prettier without it. I surprisingly don't have that much pink in my closet so I knew I needed this dress in that color. The pattern is so vibrant in person!

I've apparently got a thing for navy blue jumpsuits... perhaps I feel like this color is better than black but still slimming? I also just love navy blue haha. The simplicity of this jumpsuit is why I fell in love with it. Straight cut across the top, loose fitting in the bodice, elastic around the waist, and then a removable tie. Plus, pockets! The fabric is cotton and really stretchy and breathable. Win win!

White Midi Dress // Size Small

Another white dress - I can't help myself!! This material is sooo nice. It's not a cotton but feels more like a linen with a satin touch to it. The top is double lined so you don't have to worry about wearing a bra if you don't feel like it. The bottom skirt isn't double lined (that's why you can see the pockets through it) but that didn't bother me. It almost gave it more of a relaxed feel in my opinion. Besides, nude underwear aren't visible through so you don't need to worry! If you're bigger chested the back of this has a looot of extra elastic and stretch to it. You can see some of the material billowing out on the right side in the photo!

Silk Scarf // Comes in so many beautiful colors! I loved how this one has a big butterfly on it. To get this look I rolled the scarf into a long "rope", tied it in a knot in the middle and placed on the top of my head, wrapped it underneath my ponytail, and then tied the ends on top of my hair tie.

Gold Python Necklace // Love that this has a chain at the back so you can wear it multiple lengths

{breezy white pants + straw hat}

Are you surprised to see me in pants?! I can never have too many white beachy pants... until I found this pair. Now I'll never need a new pair because these are IT!!

I'm always wearing white pants because white is a favorite color (perfect back drop for any bold accessory), it makes you look tan, and it just oozes relaxed beach vibes. I love a wide leg pant because it breathes well and is comfortable. They're easy to dress up or dress down (hello, perfect travel outfit)! No matter where I go I always pack a pair of white beach pants in case I need something to break up the usual dress rotation I wear. I feel like you always get the random sunburn on your leg that you want to cover up, or don't want material rubbing on it, and palazzo pants are the perfect solution.

Okay so why are these THAT good? They're on the pricier end, I realize that... y'all know that I'm all about budget friendly pieces. However, these are worth the investment because of the material alone. It's gauzy while not being see-through, it has a natural "wrinkle" texture to it, and the waist band is forgiving and won't dig in too tightly. The smocked waist also helps smooth out your hips to give an elongating look to the legs. I was so thrilled when these pants were the perfect length for my 5'-6" frame because I almost exclusively wear sandals now. Heels don't really work with the Key West vibe. I seriously cannot recommend these enough!! I want them in the surf color too ;)
