{lilly pulitzer + georgetown cupcake + hope for henry}

I'm so unbelievably excited to share today's post with y'all I can hardly stand it!!! Sandy (my talented photographer) and I dreamed up this whole shoot and had the most fun shooting it in collaboration with brands I love! Scroll down to the bottom to see what this whole shoot was for...
hint: it involves shopping and sweets!

I am so thrilled to share that I will be hosting an event at Lilly Pulitzer
in Georgetown on Sunday, June 2 from 12-3pm!

The event is in partnership with Georgetown Cupcake and they've created a "Lilly's Resort Dozen" that will only be sold for the month of June! 15% of every Lilly dozen sold at Georgetown Cupcake gets donated back to Hope for Henry, an organization that is reinventing how hospitals care for seriously ill children and their families through innovative programs that entertain, reduce stress, and empower children to be active participants in their own care. To help raise even more, Lilly is hosting an in-store Shop and Share where all sales give 10% back to Hope for Henry too!

Come shop with me, taste all of the amazing cupcakes (like key lime pie and salted caramel), and hang out!! I'd love to meet you guys and celebrate the start of summer the best way possible - with cupcakes, Lilly, and raising money for a great cause! The store is gorgeous and the cupcakes are delicious so just stop by to say hi if you're in the area :)

Okay so outfit details...
I can't get enough of this blue dress. The pattern is what first drew me to it with the lemons and whimsical blues and whites. I love how it's appropriate for work but still would be fun for the weekends with the flirty ruffles! It zips up the back and even though it looks like a wrap dress it's actually faux - which means it won't flap open with the wind! I paired it with my favorite Lilly pearl hoop earrings that are really lightweight and lend a sweet little touch of pink pearl plus my tassel bracelets I scored on sale last summer. Then I topped it all off with a Lilly cork studded clutch (I can't say no to any cork details) and J.Crew Factory platform espadrilles to dress down the whole look.

If you have any questions let me know! I hope to see y'all at the event - drop a note below if you're going to try to stop by and see me :)

{pink hydrangeas + mint green amazon romper}

There's just something about rompers that I can never get enough of...

I love just about every romper that I find - they make putting together an outfit so easy and foolproof! I was instantly smitten by this one because of the color. The sleeves were an added bonus and they have a cool stitching all along the big ruffles. It's not a true adjustable tie waist but that's okay because the elastic was nice and tight and I kept the bow on because I like the illusion that it is a drawstring. The color is so soft and subtle and the material feels like it's a linen blend - it definitely looks a lot more expensive than it is!! Plus, it has pockets!! After seeing it on the model again I almost wish I had gone up to a medium... I like the oversized look she has going. Amazon sizing can be really difficult so I highly recommend reading the reviews if you can. I always check them along with the size charts because the brands vary so greatly!

I've got a really busy week ahead filled with workouts, friends, dinners, and some fun events. Then I'm heading off to NYC for work and some fun with my college bestie! I always love the chance to go to the big apple - especially during the summer. Fingers crossed for some good weather!

{wisteria and gal meets glam}

Wisteria Hysteria was real in DC and getting to walk amongst these heavenly flowers was basically a dream of mine come true!

Photography by Sandy Ma

Over Easter I asked for y'all's vote between the two Gal Meets Glam dresses I own. My intent was to only keep one (they are investments) but I fell so so so hard that I had to keep both. This Courtney dress was from Julia's first collection - it sold out so quickly and I was heartbroken. Dramatic I know but I had an alarm set and got carsick trying to get it haha! I've been following Julia since college (fun fact we're the same age and both Delta Gamma's) and have always admired her work ethic, style, life, etc. Having a piece of her GMG Collection kind of reminds me how far she has come and that I can do the same if I want it badly enough. I also just really really love girly dresses even though I don't get to wear them all the time :) When this Courtney dress came back in stock last month I contemplated getting the pink but knew I had to go with the original dress I thought about all the time... kind of a Craig's List missed connection?!

Sandy and I went to Dumbarton Oaks for these photos and the whole area was an absolute dream. Flowers and new places to explore everywhere you went. The wisteria had just passed peak so when we walked into the courtyard opening with this section I almost squealed in delight (actually I'm pretty sure I did squeal haha) because I thought we had missed the big sections of it growing. After we took these photos Sandy said to me "Okay, so did we get enough Wisteria shots?" hahaha I think it's safe to say we did ;) Absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to go back and explore this hidden gem even more. If you go be sure to bring a student id and you can get in for $5 instead of $10!
