{olive tie-waist amazon dress}

I have never loved a dress from Amazon more than this one... it's perfect to wear to work, perfect for a date night, and the price is absolutely INSANE ($18)!!!

The cute little tie detail on this dress is not only adorable but it helps nip you in at the waist and hides any kind of food baby you may have. Did I just start a blog post off like that? Yes. Because let's get real... that's what we ALL want in an outfit. To feel skinny but still be able to eat. This does both with a price tag that you almost can't believe. The fabric is nice and thick to keep you warm in the cold but you're not going to be sweating at your desk once you sit down. The olive green color is my absolute favorite to wear during the holidays. It's festive without being in your face "omg holidays" if you know what I mean.

I'm wearing a size medium (I'm 5'-6" for reference and a size 2). After reading the measurements I wanted to make sure that the sleeves went all the way to my wrists and that it was long enough to be work appropriate. Normally, a medium would be too big around my waist but because of the cute tie I was able to make it fit me perfectly! It steams easily (always a plus) and didn't wrinkle a lot after a long day at work - which means it's good to go to dinner and drinks.

If y'all like me reviewing these Amazon finds please let me know! It's a lot of work searching through the trenches :)

{olive green amazon prime dress}

You aren't going to believe the price of this adorable dress!

If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I've fallen in love with shopping on Amazon Prime! Finding outfits for work and for play has become a new hobby ;) The prices are amazing and I've actually been able to find some really quality pieces - I'll do a review of everything I've loved and purchased soon. This dress quickly became a go-to because of the color (my favorite) and the fact that the material looks like linen but doesn't wrinkle like linen does! These photos were taken at the end of my work day - I had been sitting at my computer for hours.

I styled it for work with heels and some fun earrings then grabbed my purse and sunglasses to meet the girls for wine and burgers! Throw your hair up and put on sandals and it's the perfect little weekend number. Aren't dresses that you can wear multiple ways the best?!

Have you jumped on the Amazon fashion train yet?!

{olive green with a ruffle on top}

Olive green... the color that has stolen my heart this summer and taken over my closet!

Francesca's Dress (no longer online) // Leopard Clutch (cheaper version) // Pink Earrings // Nude Heels // NARS Lipstick in "Luxembourg"

One of my favorite colors this season can easily be pegged as olive green. I didn't realize it until one of my coworkers dubbed it "my go-to color". It's funny because I usually gravitate towards bright colors paired with whites when the weather gets warm. However, this year I'm loving how olive green acts as a neutral - pair it with a leopard clutch and big pink earrings like I did in this post, or dress it down with gold sandals and a turquoise necklace. It's the perfect backdrop for your favorite bright colored accessories this summer! This outfit would be perfect for a wedding, happy hour, date night, engagement party, you name it! Whatever the event, this color will have you feeling like a million bucks all night!

This current dress is no longer available online (I found it in stores at Francesca's) but I've found some adorable olive dresses and linked them all below!

{it's good to be a girl}

Olive Green Dress, old (similar) // Chambray Shirt // Booties, old (similar) // Vera Bradley Purse c/o // Baublebar Ring // Quay Sunglasses // Kendra Scott Necklace c/o

I'm going a bit more casual for today's post. Just because this purse is so glam that it deserved to take center stage! It was a bit of a hot day when I styled this look but still cool in the shade - so I grabbed this loose chambray for a little bit of extra warmth (but not as heavy as a jean jacket). I had to add in my booties because it's the season! I'm also looking for a new pair... any favorites that y'all have this season so far?

You may remember my first It's Good to be a Girl post last month! Vera Bradley had just introduced their new logo and campaign :) women from all over have shared their favorite reasons why it's good to be a girl - my new favorite line (that I've seen on the site) says "not having to wear pants (aka dresses)"!! I got a good laugh at that. I looooove dresses but I hate tights... so the Fall is my ideal season because I can still let my legs breathe before I have to cover them up!

My new reason why it's good to be a girl? Mother Daughter time. Hanging out with your parent is probably the coolest thing to do. She knows everything about me, laughs just like me (or me like her), knows what I like to drink and eat, knows what to say to turn my day around, and we love all the same things. I had a hilarious weekend with her eating and drinking through DC and wine country and then spending the evening looking through gifs on the new iOS 10, eating salami and brie in bed, and watching Pretty Woman. My little "hotel room" of an apartment has had some pretty amazing memories all thanks to my momma! Yep, it's pretty good to be a girl!

If you share your reason on Vera Bradley's website you could be featured! I'd love to hear your reasons below :)
