{what to wear to a fall wedding}

One of the hardest things to dress for in the cooler months are rehearsal dinners and weddings! You want something comfortable to dance in, appropriate for the dress code, and seasonal! If you're like me, then you don't want long sleeves or a heavy, thick material if you're tearing up the dance floor. Getting a strappy dress is totally fine for the cold if you add a cashmere wrap to give you some warmth (bonus points because it will cover your shoulders if you're at a strict ceremony and don't want to keep a coat on). So how do you keep it seasonally appropriate... The answer? Color and fabric! Stick with dark hues like navy, black, wine/burgundy, and emerald green. For the fabric make sure it doesn't wrinkle easily (that instantly cheapens a dress) and that it's nicer than your simple black dress you wear to work. This is your opportunity to make a statement!

I originally tried this dress on in red at Shop Luna in Bethesda - y'all went nuts over it on IG stories. While I love a red dress more than anything I wanted to keep things a bit more muted for the rehearsal dinner (I was a bridesmaid) and this navy blue was so stunning when the fabric moves. It's stretchy and hugs you in the right places while still allowing you to eat (phew). I'm a small chested gal so I loved the knot at the front to give me some shape. I paired it with my favorite leopard clutch for a pop, comfortable nude heels, and the most gorgeous camel cashmere wrap I own. Camel goes with everything and really makes the navy appear rich!

Love Always,
