I'm doing something a bit different this year for the sale... I'm just going to put a large image of every single product that I'm buying and everything I love and have purchased multiple times (sometimes 12x plus haha). This way it's a quick easy click for y'all! I know tons of other bloggers are sharing their picks too. So while this may not be the prettiest collage it's the easiest and most straight forward!
I appreciate y'all shopping with my links as I do earn a tiny commission (really only dollars but every bit counts)! I am forever thankful for the support!
Psst this board is shoppable! Just click the item you want to view!
What's in my cart during this November Sephora sale? Some old tried-and-true favorites, some full size purchases from samples I loved, and a couple of recommendations from y'all! Let's break it down...
Stila Liquid Eyeshadow // If you are rushing out the door but want a statement eyelid then this product is for you. Discovered thanks to Hillary Duff's beauty videos... so easy and blendable with a subtle shine. Shade Kitten is my favorite. I also love Jezebel.
KNC Beauty Eye Masks // When everyone was sharing black-owned businesses this summer I discovered KNC Beauty and was instantly hooked. For starters, it's a female-owned company (heck yes!)... they also carry the most amazing under eye masks that are retinol-infused. They instantly brighten up my dark circles and help depuff my eyes. Plus, they're stars. So cute!
Ilia Multi-use Pigment // I've seen a couple of bloggers rave about this clean beauty line so I wanted to give it a try. Starting off with this multi-use pigment. I like the idea of being able to touch up my lips, cheeks, and even adding a little color to my lids with one piece!
Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick // Everyone's cult favorite in pillow talk strikes again... it truly is THAT good!
Laura Mercier Translucent Powder // This is what I use to set my liquid concealer. It also has a bit of brightening power in it - winning!
Sephora Eye Love Palette // The easiest neutral shadow colors for any girl. The ones that can't do fancy looks and for the ones who are makeup pros. I love the price point too!
Grande Brow // I don't grow eyebrow hair. It's a fact and it's frustrating but this product has changed the game for me. It's allowed me to have bushier eyebrows and they're growing!
Glow Recipe Avocado Melt // I use this product every night on my undereyes during my skincare routine. It's very moisturizing and I love the retinol in it to help my skin!
Tarte Wink of H2O Collagen Eye Cream // I got a tiny sample of this in a past order and I loooove it. Vegan, clean, and packed with collagen. I've been using this during my morning skincare routine.
Fresh Soy Face Wash // Another product I won't get off my soap box about! It takes all my makeup off, is super gentle, and doesn't leave my skin feeling super dry and stretched out right after (you know what I'm talking about!)
Ouai Texturizing Spray // I religiously buy this in a travel size because it works so well as a hairspray when I curl my hair
Ouai Volumizing Spray // Excited to try out this new product - I always want more va-va-voom to my roots!
Living Proof 5-in-1 Styling Cream // Another product I buy in a travel size! I have used this when I travel for almost 3 years now. It does wonders for my frizz and keeps my ends moisturized.
Ouai Dry Shampoo // Recently tried this in a travel size... the smell is INSANE! Had to purchase the full size because omgggg
Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector // This is a brand that's been hot on IG this year. I finally got to try a sample and I get it. It's a great mid-week mask when your ends are getting worn down and the roots need some TLC.
Tarte Cream Bronzer // This product is technically a knock-off of the famous Chanel bronzer. However, it recently came to light that they test on animals... this Tarte product is identical AND it's clean and cruelty free!! Sooo it's worth every penny. I wear shade Seychelles and got the matching brush. The duo is incredible and makes bronzing and even contouring your face so easy. Highly recommend.
I don't share beauty and skincare too often on here because when I become obsessed with something I stick with it for awhile... but I truly love trying out new products more than anything! I have a bin filled with samples that I test out on the daily because I love seeing if something will work better for my skin! The Sephora Spring Sale is one of my favorite events because it's a chance to get some new things at a discounted rate and stock up on favorites. If you know you're going to need new concealer at some point you might as well get it when there's a discount, right? That's my thought process at least! Plus, this time around there's free shipping! YAY! I'm sharing all of the details on the sale here & I'm listing out what's in my cart, my makeup faves, my skincare faves, and my haircare faves! So many favorites!! Pretty much all of my makeup is available via Sephora. I don't wear too much and I'm certainly not a pro but I love that all of these are quality products that have lasted awhile! This is a weird time we're living in so by no means do you need any of this! However, it's important that we're taking care of ourselves during this season of high anxiety and stress. I've found that a great skincare routine can help maintain any flare ups and it allows some "me time" every morning and night. Indulging your hair with no heat right now has also been a big plus - sometimes time off is the best antidote for split ends and frizzy roots!
Without further ado... my favorites! Click any image that you want to shop!
Are y'all buying new things or stocking up on favorites?? I'm only a VIB so I can't shop until Tuesday but my cart is locked and loaded :)
I have tried tons of moisturizers over the years. My skin is always something that I take very seriously - I'm always looking for the next best moisturizer! For a beauty product that you put on your face every day (in the morning, under my makeup, and again at night) you want it to be the best. In my mind that means moisture that lasts all day without feeling oily or drying out quickly.
I recently finished a loooot of products that I really liked - some more so than others! I thought it would be fun to give y'all a run down of everything I've tried, rate them, describe what I liked and what I didn't, and then give the verdict on if I would purchase it again or not.
I naturally have a pink undertone to my skin - so when I got this product I was hoping it would help with some of the warm undertones that contrast with some of my makeup (it's hard to find a concealer that doesn't go yellow). The product is very moisturizing and it absorbed quickly so it worked well in the morning and under my makeup. If you're a makeup guru then you know the green, pink, and yellow makeup some girls use to help discoloration. This product has a light green tint to it (similar to the green on the label) that helps the redness! Would I purchase it again? No - just because it didn't help with redness on me so I don't see the need.
Give me a moisturizer that has "anti-aging benefits" in it and I'm bound to like it. This Secret Sauce is my all time favorite moisturizer!! I love the smell and the dewy look it gives my skin! It works well in making my skin feel moisturized but not greasy. Which mean it's perfect after I get out of the shower in the morning before I put on my primer and makeup. It's also smooth enough where if I have a patch of dry skin under my makeup this will glide right over without nudging anything. I noticed my skin looked a lot "perkier" after using this for a week! Would I purchase it again? YES! I'm on my third container ;)
The cult favorite... I'm sure you're not surprised to see this on here! I was sent this in a PR package and fell absolutely head over heels in love. Y'all. It really is amazing I can't lie. It's so moisturizing that I can't use it in the morning. It almost feels like a moisture mask at night. It's a thick consistency and it comes with a little paddle to scoop the product out so you don't stick your fingers in it. It smells so fresh and clean too! The jar is really heavy so it just makes the product feel lush and well made! Would I purchase it again? Ugh... because it's $$$ I wouldn't. That's why it didn't get a full 5 stars.
The container of this moisturizer was pretty fun - you push on the top and it squirts out the center instead of having to pump a dispenser. It's super lightweight and the product smooths on really well. However, I just don't know if it did anything for me personally. The smell didn't just blow me away and I didn't think that the moisture from the product really lasted. I wanted to add more on top but my skin just got kind of tight Would I purchase it again? Nope.
This stuff packs a whole lot of amazingness into a little bit! I feel like after using this product I was getting a little face lift every day. It tightened my skin, my wrinkles, and helped minimize my pores. All of the M61 products are amazing but this is a great every night product to purchase. It helps revive dull or dry skin and people worried about hyperpigmentation. It's also safe for people who experience breakouts - this will help because of the glycolic and salicylic acid! Easily the best results and most effective product out of the ones I'm reviewing! Would I purchase it again? Absolutely!
Not really a moisturizer but this powerful serum only enhanced any moisturizer that I used. The Vitamin C in this product does wonders for making your skin glow! Every time I used it (basically every morning) I looked like I had just gotten 8 hours of sleep. It absorbed into my skin quickly and gave my skin the silkiest texture. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because I may have discovered a better Vitamin C product - however, the Ole Henriksen price tag is much better!
Would I purchase it again? Yes - I already did!
Have you tried any of these moisturizers? What products have you purchased again because you loved them so much?
I went into Sephora for ONE thing and came out with a little bag of goodies... I just can't help it. But, what girl can? That section with all the samples right along the check out line just tempts you with hidden gems. It's been a month since I brought home these new products so I thought I would give y'all a review on them - what was a hit and what was a miss!
Tarte Scrub Clean Cleansing Set ($12) I was most excited to try this product. I'm always looking for a good mask and ways to clean deep down in my pores. This packet contains mini samples of full size products that you can buy separately that promise to give you a radiant glow. The whole purpose is so you can try the trio together and then splurge to get the individual pieces at full size. Whelp, I was less than thrilled... there were multiple combinations you could do: oil alone, scrub alone, spot treatment, scrub and oil together, and then the option of using the silicone scrubber. I liked the pink scrubber the most - I now travel with it so that I don't have to carry my Clarisonic! It helps enhance the deep cleanse of any face wash and it doubles as a mini brush cleaner. Would I buy it again? Just the pink silicone scrubber.
I can't say no to a good mask! The temptation of SIX new masks was too much for me. I also loved that there was one for every occasion. I always admire the Peter Thomas Roth masks when I walk around Sephora (one is legit gold and shiny...). This sampler kit was the first thing in my basket once I found it - whoops. The 6 different masks are: intense hydrating, stem cell bio-repair, lift & firm, purifying, cucumber gel, and pumpkin enzyme. They're all good for different types of skin. You simply cover your face in one of the masks (they're all really thin and light) then wash off with water after 10 minutes. Quick, easy, and mess free. I genuinely liked every mask that I tried! Sometimes it's hard to tell if you got results after such a thin application but my skin felt soft and rejuvenated every time! It was fun to read all of the labels and decide which mask would be best for my skin. Plus, the colors are pretty enticing. I'm wearing the blue mask for extra hydration right now! (The masks don't actually turn your face that color - it's a gel so you can hardly see a tint.) Would I buy it again? Yes, I'd buy the sampler pack and give each small sample as Christmas gifts with other little goodies and I would buy the Pink mask and Black mask for myself!
Smashbox Spotlight Palette by Casey Holmes ($35) Okay, THIS was the entire reason for my Sephora visit in the first place. I ran out of my trusty highlighter and had seen this palette by Casey Holmes (an awesome YouTube vlogger) everywhere - no, I have actually seen it all over my Twitter for months. Verdict? It is worth every damn penny!! I got the Pearl Soft Highlight and can't get enough of it. I use the middle color as my regular highlight (cheek bones and bridge of my nose), the left color for the inside corners of my eyes and if I'm feeling a little fancy I use the right color underneath my brows on my lids to make them pop (it's the most sparkly color). A little bit of highlight goes a long way and it stays too. I love being able to put a bit of highlighter on instead of contouring in the summer - people have noticed too! I get compliments on what a great "summer glow" I have ;) haha! Would I buy it again? Yes, in a heartbeat!!! This highlighter was my favorite purchase!
Clinique Chubby Stick in "Whole Lotta Honey" ($17) Is it really a trip to Sephora if you don't pick up a new lippie? I love the Clinique chubby sticks because of how moisturizing they are. My first chubby stick was Sophomore year of college in Mega Melon - a color I still continue to purchase. The color is subtle and you can easily layer it to get a richer color on your lips. I use this in the summer as if it's a lip balm - it's that moisturizing. It won't last you through a club sandwich but it will stay put through a morning cup of coffee during a meeting. Would I buy it again? Yes, and in multiple colors (which I already have hehe) Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara ($23) I hear rave reviews about this mascara brand all the time. I picked it up because so many people have said that it's their favorite and because the waterproof was new. I prefer my mascaras to be waterproof because I'm a crier #allthefeels. I was less than thrilled with this mascara though... I found the application to be really chunky and I wasn't able to get the same extension of my eyelashes because the product was heavy. I have pretty long lashes and the product dried very brittle - so if I had my reading glasses on and hadn't curled my lashes I could hear them scratching against the glass. I would find more mascara flakes under my eyes throughout the day as well. However, I'm still using it because I don't want it to go to waste. I use a Maybelline mascara all over and then I'll apply this one just on the tips very very lightly. It is definitely waterproof so that's a plus! Would I buy it again? Probably not. I love this It Cosmetics mascara way too much.
Do y'all have any new beauty products that you've tried recently? I'd love to test them out! Also, do you like these kind of posts? Do you like to see haul reviews? Let me know in the comments below :)
Over the years I've learned that while keeping a tried-and-true skin care routine is helpful, my skin also needs a change up. I love trying new products and seeing what works best. Then I stick with it for a bit while still trying new things. My routine is always changing but these products are what I'm loving right now and honestly, I've never seen such a quick and dramatic difference in my skin!
M-61 Hydraboost Line Reducer c/o and M-61 PowerGlow Moisturizer c/o // I went to an event at Bluemercury a couple of months ago and walked out with instructions on how to use these two products. I always test out products for at least two weeks before sharing them on the blog (or any social media for that matter) but ohmygosh I could have shared these with y'all the very next day!! I saw results instantly when I used them together! My skin felt tighter, smoother, and more radiant. I felt like I was glowing! I will buy and use these products for the rest of my life. I know that sounds insane but I mean it! After I wash my face I apply this serum all over my neck and face and then I moisturize with this product. 2-3 pumps for each, morning and night! If I need more moisture I add on this moisturizer since these are both super light.
Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Foaming Mask // I've had this "mask" for awhile now and just re-fell in love with it (seen previously here). I've had some loooong days at work recently (I'm talking a lot of stress and hours where I don't have a chance to take care of myself). When I get home I don't have time for a bubble bath to relax because it's time to blog. Yes, I feel like I'm working two jobs most days :) Before I get started on blogging (writing or editing photos normally) I love to wash my face with this! It creates a whole mask of bubbles that are so entertaining to watch. It really livens up your skin! The thin layer of product you apply becomes activated with water and then it turns into a half inch of bubbles... it just makes me giggle every time!
Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal & Fresh Soy Face Cleanser // I've raved about this face wash before and I'm still utterly obsessed with it (last seen here along with the face mask). I use it every single night to take my makeup off! Seriously, every single night... I even bought a travel size because I love it that much - can't go without it. It takes all of my makeup off, even the waterproof mascara and eyeliner, the first go around. I don't use those makeup removing wipes anymore! I used one after this face wash to see if any residue was left over and nothing was there! Before I dry my face off after washing it I pour a little bit of this charcoal powder into my hand and create a super thin paste that I rub all over my face. The charcoal has a bit of texture so I get some exfoliating on my skin and it pulls out a lot of impurities. It leaves my face feeling brighter and squeaky clean!
It Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream // Okay so this product I've only used for three days and fell in love instantly. It's not available until March 21st at It Cosmetics online and will be sold at Ulta in April, but, I had to tell y'all right away so that you can put it on your radar! I am all about an under eye cream... my eyes get tired and puffy easily and I also have horrible dark circles under my eyes. The second I smoothed a thin layer onto one (yes, just one to test it) I noticed a difference. My right eye felt more awake and the circle under my eye was brighter!! I used this cream as a depuffer after a long weekend of drinking and partying with my family and looked like I had gotten a solid 9 hours of sleep! I should've known I would fall in love with it because the It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream is my favorite moisturizer for dry spots or when I need an extra boost of moisturizer. Don't you love when you find a product you want to shout from the rooftops about?!
