{moisturizers i've used and loved}

I have tried tons of moisturizers over the years. My skin is always something that I take very seriously - I'm always looking for the next best moisturizer! For a beauty product that you put on your face every day (in the morning, under my makeup, and again at night) you want it to be the best. In my mind that means moisture that lasts all day without feeling oily or drying out quickly.

I recently finished a loooot of products that I really liked - some more so than others! I thought it would be fun to give y'all a run down of everything I've tried, rate them, describe what I liked and what I didn't, and then give the verdict on if I would purchase it again or not.

I naturally have a pink undertone to my skin - so when I got this product I was hoping it would help with some of the warm undertones that contrast with some of my makeup (it's hard to find a concealer that doesn't go yellow). The product is very moisturizing and it absorbed quickly so it worked well in the morning and under my makeup. If you're a makeup guru then you know the green, pink, and yellow makeup some girls use to help discoloration. This product has a light green tint to it (similar to the green on the label) that helps the redness!

Would I purchase it again? No - just because it didn't help with redness on me so I don't see the need.

Give me a moisturizer that has "anti-aging benefits" in it and I'm bound to like it. This Secret Sauce is my all time favorite moisturizer!! I love the smell and the dewy look it gives my skin! It works well in making my skin feel moisturized but not greasy. Which mean it's perfect after I get out of the shower in the morning before I put on my primer and makeup. It's also smooth enough where if I have a patch of dry skin under my makeup this will glide right over without nudging anything. I noticed my skin looked a lot "perkier" after using this for a week!

Would I purchase it again? YES! I'm on my third container ;)

The cult favorite... I'm sure you're not surprised to see this on here! I was sent this in a PR package and fell absolutely head over heels in love. Y'all. It really is amazing I can't lie. It's so moisturizing that I can't use it in the morning. It almost feels like a moisture mask at night. It's a thick consistency and it comes with a little paddle to scoop the product out so you don't stick your fingers in it. It smells so fresh and clean too! The jar is really heavy so it just makes the product feel lush and well made!

Would I purchase it again? Ugh... because it's $$$ I wouldn't. That's why it didn't get a full 5 stars.

The container of this moisturizer was pretty fun - you push on the top and it squirts out the center instead of having to pump a dispenser. It's super lightweight and the product smooths on really well. However, I just don't know if it did anything for me personally. The smell didn't just blow me away and I didn't think that the moisture from the product really lasted. I wanted to add more on top but my skin just got kind of tight

Would I purchase it again? Nope.

This stuff packs a whole lot of amazingness into a little bit! I feel like after using this product I was getting a little face lift every day. It tightened my skin, my wrinkles, and helped minimize my pores. All of the M61 products are amazing but this is a great every night product to purchase. It helps revive dull or dry skin and people worried about hyperpigmentation. It's also safe for people who experience breakouts - this will help because of the glycolic and salicylic acid! Easily the best results and most effective product out of the ones I'm reviewing!

Would I purchase it again? Absolutely!

Not really a moisturizer but this powerful serum only enhanced any moisturizer that I used. The Vitamin C in this product does wonders for making your skin glow! Every time I used it (basically every morning) I looked like I had just gotten 8 hours of sleep. It absorbed into my skin quickly and gave my skin the silkiest texture. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because I may have discovered a better Vitamin C product - however, the Ole Henriksen price tag is much better!

Would I purchase it again? Yes - I already did!

Have you tried any of these moisturizers? What products have you purchased again because you loved them so much?

{night time skin care routine}

Over the years I've learned that while keeping a tried-and-true skin care routine is helpful, my skin also needs a change up. I love trying new products and seeing what works best. Then I stick with it for a bit while still trying new things. My routine is always changing but these products are what I'm loving right now and honestly, I've never seen such a quick and dramatic difference in my skin!

M-61 Hydraboost Line Reducer c/o and M-61 PowerGlow Moisturizer c/o //
I went to an event at Bluemercury a couple of months ago and walked out with instructions on how to use these two products. I always test out products for at least two weeks before sharing them on the blog (or any social media for that matter) but ohmygosh I could have shared these with y'all the very next day!! I saw results instantly when I used them together! My skin felt tighter, smoother, and more radiant. I felt like I was glowing! I will buy and use these products for the rest of my life. I know that sounds insane but I mean it! After I wash my face I apply this serum all over my neck and face and then I moisturize with this product. 2-3 pumps for each, morning and night! If I need more moisture I add on this moisturizer since these are both super light.

Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Foaming Mask //
I've had this "mask" for awhile now and just re-fell in love with it (seen previously here). I've had some loooong days at work recently (I'm talking a lot of stress and hours where I don't have a chance to take care of myself). When I get home I don't have time for a bubble bath to relax because it's time to blog. Yes, I feel like I'm working two jobs most days :) Before I get started on blogging (writing or editing photos normally) I love to wash my face with this! It creates a whole mask of bubbles that are so entertaining to watch. It really livens up your skin! The thin layer of product you apply becomes activated with water and then it turns into a half inch of bubbles... it just makes me giggle every time!

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal & Fresh Soy Face Cleanser //
I've raved about this face wash before and I'm still utterly obsessed with it (last seen here along with the face mask). I use it every single night to take my makeup off! Seriously, every single night... I even bought a travel size because I love it that much - can't go without it. It takes all of my makeup off, even the waterproof mascara and eyeliner, the first go around. I don't use those makeup removing wipes anymore! I used one after this face wash to see if any residue was left over and nothing was there! Before I dry my face off after washing it I pour a little bit of this charcoal powder into my hand and create a super thin paste that I rub all over my face. The charcoal has a bit of texture so I get some exfoliating on my skin and it pulls out a lot of impurities. It leaves my face feeling brighter and squeaky clean!

It Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream //
Okay so this product I've only used for three days and fell in love instantly. It's not available until March 21st at It Cosmetics online and will be sold at Ulta  in April, but, I had to tell y'all right away so that you can put it on your radar! I am all about an under eye cream... my eyes get tired and puffy easily and I also have horrible dark circles under my eyes. The second I smoothed a thin layer onto one (yes, just one to test it) I noticed a difference. My right eye felt more awake and the circle under my eye was brighter!! I used this cream as a depuffer after a long weekend of drinking and partying with my family and looked like I had gotten a solid 9 hours of sleep! I should've known I would fall in love with it because the It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream is my favorite moisturizer for dry spots or when I need an extra boost of moisturizer. Don't you love when you find a product you want to shout from the rooftops about?!

{beauty | favorite hair products}

I must admit one of my darkest secrets today... I'm living with thin/fine hair. I try my hardest to hide it! I curl it, tease my roots, load up on the hairspray, whip it back and forth ;) I will do anything to make it seem like I have thick, lush, gorgeous hair. I rely 100% on really great products to make my hair look exactly how I want it to. Since I'm in the mood to share all my secrets today I'm sharing my top line-up of go-to's. Starting with my favorite shampoo/conditioner to my styling products to my hairspray and then all the way to my dry shampoo favorites.

*This post isn't sponsored. While some products may be c/o, all opinions are my own and I genuinely love the product and highly recommend it. I test everything before I share it with you all*

Healthy hair starts at the roots and continuous to the end. I fight my two hardest battles with shampoo and conditioner - flat hair and split ends. I've tried a TON of different shampoos but TRESemme always pulls through without leaving any buildup behind (you know, when you get out of the shower and feel like the product weighed your hair down instead of doing it's job).

Once a week I like to deep condition my hair (in replacement of the usual conditioner) to really give my strands a chance to soak up some nutrients. The Victoria's Secret hair mask smells incredible and has been a favorite of mine since high school. I always grab a bottle when I'm in the store since it's not on their website. I just recently picked up the L'Oreal mask at CVS a month ago and my split ends seemed to disappear completely after the first use. I could really feel a strength difference after a couple uses! I like to leave on a hair mask or deep conditioner for at least 5 minutes - shaving my legs while letting my hair absorb the goodness normally does the trick.

Once you're out of the shower it's all about helping your hair through the styling process and protecting it. If I'm getting dolled up I reach for my Drybar mousse but if it's a casual work day and I need my hair to look good for two days sans hair washing I swear by the Living Proof style extender. The Mr. Incredible product is brand new - so new that I was sent a bottle with no branding. I included it in my round-up today after using it for 2 weeks because it's SERIOUSLY incredible. I'm not kidding I just ordered another bottle last night... Go out and buy it now! It prevents breakage, detangles, softens, smoothes, defrizzes, conditions, and hydrates. The very first time I used it I didn't even feel the need to straighten my hair. Incredible. However, speaking of straightening my hair... I won't put a hot tool directly to my strands without spraying this brazilian keratin therapy all over my dry hair. It's part of every combination of hair products I mix together. It has a great coconut smell to it too!

I've been through LOTS of hair straighteners. Probably because I use it for everything... straightening my hair, adding some lift to roots, curling my hair, and even ironing my clothes in a pinch (come on, you do it too). This CHI is the best one I've found because it gets hot fast and evenly and is open on the sides so I can curl my hair without giving it a crimped line. I love to use this comb to detangle my hair right when I get out of the shower and to gently brush out my curls for second day hair.

I'm so picky about hairsprays... I hate ones that leave your hair totally matted down and untouchable. What fun is a curl if it's plastered into a shape and you can't have it bounce around when you dance?! TRESemme is my favorite for curls because it holds it in place while still allowing it to move and breathe. Plus, it resists humidity! I always spray my hair all-over before curling, each section I'm about to curl and then the finished curled piece. Drybar hairspray is my every-day, spray all over, rushing out the door, top choice. Top everything off with some shine mist and you look like you have VS supermodel runway hair.

Dry Shampoos: Every girl's favorite life saver trick of the trade! I did a blog post about my favorite dry shampoos here but added Living Proof PHD to my line up. All give a nice powdery finish and keep my hair bouncy the next day. Don't forget... always spray it in the night before you go without hair washing so the dry shampoo gets worked from your roots to your ends.
