{random thursday}

This has been an exhausting (but fun!) week so far and it's only Thursday… phew! Monday started off by seeing American Authors at the 9:30 club in DC with two friends! They did a cover of Sam Smith's "Stay with Me" and I just stared in amazement. So amazing and a pretty darn good looking group of guys ;) Last night my office had their annual client celebration. It was a long day attempting to work with the whole office being transformed into a gorgeous party! It's always great to have casual conversations with our clients and meeting new people. We ended the night across the street at the Blue Duck Tavern with delicious wine and coworkers. After only getting 5 hours of sleep a night I'm ready to just sleep. I'm somebody that requires a lot more sleep than your normal 24 year old… welcome to the real world? The boy is coming tomorrow night so I'm giddy with anticipation. I feel like today and tomorrow can't go by fast enough!

Anywhooo, I thought I'd mix today's post up by posting a couple of things that have been on my radar or sparked my interest! Enjoy :)

1. The Breakfast at Tiffany's house is for sale! If you have a whopping $8 million then you can traipse around this gorgeous place pretending like your Holly Golightly and yelling for Cat. Sounds like fun to me… I guess I got this idea in my head after watching Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf daydream about her all the time.

I love delving into the unknown world of celebrities and designers so this read was at the top of my list. I wish everyone paid such attention to detail and threw lavish parties like Mr. Valentino does.

I'm a sucker for cashmere… I'm sure that's obvious by now… I don't indulge in spending my money on it but whenever I see it on sale I seriously consider it. I've heard such great things about Calypso St. Barth and can only imagine how amazing this cashmere sweater is. Swoon!

I rarely use store bought salad dressing. I prefer to make a simple blend of olive oil and balsamic with salt and pepper. I'm curious to try these dressings… they require a couple more ingredients but definitely pack a whallop. Maybe it's time I switch up the ever boring salad at lunch.

Alright all you Scandal lovers!!! Have you seen the new additions to the collection at The Limited?! I didn't think it could get better. But they've now added wraps and ponchos and capes and gowns and okay I'll stop. Just go check it out for yourself.

My favorite animal is a sea otter. My grandmother lives in CA and every time I visit we make the drive to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I love seeing their sea otters and looking for ones out in the ocean hanging out in the kelp :) My sister just moved to Chicago and she sent me this article about the little baby they found orphaned. She is doing well and thriving! I grin from ear to ear every time I watch videos of her. My sister went to the aquarium last weekend and got to see them during meal time!
Fun fact: sea otters hold hands when they sleep so that they don't drift apart (ugh, I know!)

Love Always,
