{little suede skirt}

Photography by Lauren

If I had to pick my favorite outfit from NYFW it would be this one. I love how the suede skirt paired with my OTK boots and how the deep cut of the blouse allowed some maroon bralette to peek through. I wanted to try and find something for Fashion Week that I wouldn't normally reach for on a daily basis. I live in bralettes during the weekend - they're so comfortable and having a bit of lace is a nice hint of sexy. I've also been shying away from skirts recently so I figured - why not take a chance with this little suede number? Y'all it was love at first sight. I wore it with a big black sweater, tights and booties last week for work and can't wait to pair it with some bright colors for spring!

Keep an eye out for my posts tomorrow and Thursday! I'm going to recap my 4 days from NYFW :) I'll try to make them not be too lengthy but I can't make any promises! There are so many pictures I want to share! Would y'all be interested in seeing a post with NYFW tips? Please email me if you have any questions about how I went to Fashion Week as a newb and I can include them in my post!

{DermStore beautyFIX box}

As y'all already know I'm a huge beauty junkie! I love trying new products, seeing what I like or don't like, finding "forever" products, and experimenting with what actually works and shows a difference! I love getting smaller samples because it's the perfect way to test it out - you don't feel like any product is getting wasted and if you purchase a sample it's much cheaper (that was my try trick with trying GlamGlow before investing in a full size).

When I found DermStore I was browsing for a new hair dryer (ugh, still searching) and was really impressed with the wide variety of products they offer: skin care, beauty, cosmetics, makeup, hair care, bath & body, etc. They have everything from professional high-end products like Peter Thomas Roth to your every day Bare Minerals powder. Then I stumbled on the BeautyFIX box... ohh goodness was I excited to find this! It's chalked full of 6+ products every time and is worth over $100+! They're curated by experts and filled with professional spa-grade products. They're also deluxe travel sizes... I haven't seen that in any other box that I've tried!!

Now comes the best part - I've teamed up with DermStore to offer 5 (yes, FIVE) lucky readers a chance to win the February BeautyFIX box!! Y'all, this is the biggest giveaway I've ever hosted! Five of you could win $100+ in awesome beauty products! I've personally tested them all and am really excited to keep using them to see even better results! (When Emily came over to take these photos I had already put the lipstick on...)

Each box comes with a card that tells you about each product. February's box was based around the "power of attraction": tousled and tempting, flirty and feminine. The four beauty products to amp up a look of love were a matte lipstick, an eyelash curler, radiance boosting eye moisturizer, and an eyelash enhancer. I was most excited about the eyelash enhancer! I've been dying to try one for months but couldn't justify the price tag :) I know I have long eyelashes already but who wouldn't want longer and thicker lashes?

I couldn't believe the size of the BeautyFIX exclusives! They were some of the largest samples I've ever tried. The February box had 3 deluxe travel size products - under eye serum, hair spray and stimulating conditioner. I've been using the eye serum every night before bed and love that it helps me feel less puffy in the morning (I'm still recovering from NYFW)! The hairspray is perfect because it smells incredible (seriously, it's the best I've ever smelled) and I was able to throw it in my clutch for NYC - the wind was horrible and my curls kept falling so this helped me keep some in place.

What are you waiting for? Keep scrolling to enter to win this box!! Y'all have nothing to lose :) You can also shop at DermStore until the end of February and receive 20% off* with code GOGLAM. (*valid on participating brands only)

{a little bit retro}

photography by Lauren

Bite Matte Lip Crayon in "Pastille"

One of the easiest outfits I had planned for NYFW was this Elizabeth & James dress from RTR. I knew we were going to have a "fancy" evening one night in NYC and this dress fit the bill perfectly. We started with the Monique Lhuillier show (HEAVEN.), went to dinner at The Smith in Midtown and then hopped over to Hotel Americano for a little party!

When I went to the store in Georgetown I had just purchased my OTK boots and wanted to find a dress to pair them with (little did I know I would wear these boots every single day). I loved the flirty length of the dress and how it showed just enough thigh without making me worry the dress was too short. The bell sleeves, a-line hem and cut-out provided a little bit of retro flair - something I don't normally gravitate towards. I paired it with this gorgeous Chanel bag and a houndstooth cape with a fur collar. Having long sleeves made the cape an obvious choice... you always saw the plum color peeking through.

Side note... yes, it was 1 degrees with -19 wind chill when Lauren and I took these photos. The entire hotel told us we were brave *cough cough crazy* for shooting. All in the name of fashion right? I mean, when in NYC! We attempted to photograph a brunch look later but couldn't stand it with the wind. I wanted sooooo badly to have a New York City backdrop but it just didn't happen :( Guess I'll just have to shoot all of my looks in DC. I still can't believe all of the people standing outside of shows to get that perfect instagram. We hopped in an uber as fast as we could!! Words can't describe how jealous I am of everyone who is in warmer weather! We were greeted with 4" of snow when we got home haha :)

{spring dreaming}

After seeing so many spring colors (mixed in with coats and scarves) during Fashion Week I'm having a major case of the winter blues. All I want to do is empty out my closet and make way for pastels, airy dresses, open toed shoes, tassels, off the shoulder tops, and flowy maxi dresses. I've already started my spring "shopping" aka creating wish lists :) Did you know that you can always keep up with what I have my eye on? There's a tab at the top of my page titled "SHOP" that is always up to date with my most recent finds, purchases and obsessions!

Here's a sneak peek at what I'm dreaming of for spring!

Would you guys ever be interested in a Snapchat sale? I'm too impatient to list things on Poshmark right now but I have a TON of jewelry that I don't wear and need to get rid of. Shoot me an email or let me know in the comments below, please!

Happy Spring shopping/dreaming!

{bright red plaid}

Photography by Emily Smalling

Old Navy Chambray // Red Plaid Scarf, old (similar, similar, love this plaid) // Ripped Denim // Mirrored Ray-Ban Sunglasses // BP Trolley Bootie // NARS Lipstick in "Heat Wave"

I got this chambray shirt a couple of weeks ago and have been living in it... tied over a skirt and tights, under a sweater, worn open over a t-shirt, or just loose over a pair of black pants. I've been wearing a lot of neutral and dark colors this winter so when I found this scarf I knew it was perfect to add some bright color! I added my favorite red lip and blue sunglasses to up the ante as well :)

I just got back from NYFW Sunday night and it was SUCH an incredible trip... I can't wait to share everything with y'all - including an outfit that I shot on the coldest day in New York City history. Yeah, that happened. It. Was. Freezing. BUT, that didn't stop the fashion. I hope you guys followed along on Snapchat so you could feel like you were there with me!
