Over Memorial Day Weekend I went to Sonoma, California for a Bachelorette party for a close friend from high school. I flew in to San Francisco early Thursday morning and then we drove to Sonoma on Friday! We stayed in an insane AirBNB and enjoyed the pool, king size beds, a sauna/steam room. Saturday we hopped on a tour bus and got to visit a bunch of wineries in Sonoma... my favorite was MacRostie Winery and Vineyards. The view was amazing but the wine was even better! We did a comparison tasting - sampling three glasses of Chardonnay together and then three glasses of Pinot Noir. I loved tasting the subtle differences between each one! My sweet friend Jenna snapped some photos of my outfit in the vines for me so I thought I would share them with y'all. This dress was so comfortable and lightweight for the summer heat - plus it's so dang cute!!
Have you been to Sonoma before? I couldn't believe how beautiful and unique each winery was... and the views! Oh my gosh, sweeping vines up and down everywhere you looked. I am already dreaming about my next trip out to California... I used to spend every summer there with my family and have such amazing memories. Can't wait to make more!
Palm prints and a monogram - does it get any better? I fell in love the second I saw this Barrington Gifts tote bag and I've carried it every day since it showed up at my front door!
If you've met me for drinks after work (or seen me navigating public transportation - ha) then you've most likely seen one of my Barrington tote bags. I have tons of purses that I carry to and from work but my Barrington bags are my absolute favorites (last blogged in this post). They sit on my shoulder comfortably, have great interior pockets, hold up well and don't get dirty, and are just SO darn cute. Who doesn't love a monogram?! When I saw they carried a palm print I knew I had to make it mine for this summer. Their website is so much fun to play around on - I could create new purse combinations for hours. I loved the light leather of this bag compared to the dark leather my navy one has. Any of their monogrammed products would be perfect as a graduation present, birthday present, or engagement present!
Now let's talk about this top... y'all have seen me gush about it on Instagram already (I mean it's $25!). I am totally addicted and have somehow managed to keep myself from ordering more than two colors! It's the perfect length for tucking into pants/skirts/shorts and the perfect length for letting it hang out. The subtle v makes it so feminine and I love how the straps double and hang loosely at the back. Plus, it comes in 15 colors!! I know this will transition perfectly into the fall with a jacket or cardigan on top.
When it came to styling an outfit for the brand meeting portion of The Blog Societies Conference I knew I needed to stick with what I know. For me, that's bold accessories! I love patterns but bright, solid colors are always the best palette for me when I have jewelry I want to make standout. I found this Topshop dress online early this summer and was instantly hooked. I loved it loose and hanging but the belt gave it a great easy-going look that showed off my shape better. Pom-poms were all the rage this summer so when I found this clutch (from one of my favorite online shops) I made it mine instantly! It also pulled the red dress and earrings together perfectly. Y'all know I can't stay away from turquoise... is it time I admit I have an obsession??
