{breezy white pants + straw hat}

Are you surprised to see me in pants?! I can never have too many white beachy pants... until I found this pair. Now I'll never need a new pair because these are IT!!

I'm always wearing white pants because white is a favorite color (perfect back drop for any bold accessory), it makes you look tan, and it just oozes relaxed beach vibes. I love a wide leg pant because it breathes well and is comfortable. They're easy to dress up or dress down (hello, perfect travel outfit)! No matter where I go I always pack a pair of white beach pants in case I need something to break up the usual dress rotation I wear. I feel like you always get the random sunburn on your leg that you want to cover up, or don't want material rubbing on it, and palazzo pants are the perfect solution.

Okay so why are these THAT good? They're on the pricier end, I realize that... y'all know that I'm all about budget friendly pieces. However, these are worth the investment because of the material alone. It's gauzy while not being see-through, it has a natural "wrinkle" texture to it, and the waist band is forgiving and won't dig in too tightly. The smocked waist also helps smooth out your hips to give an elongating look to the legs. I was so thrilled when these pants were the perfect length for my 5'-6" frame because I almost exclusively wear sandals now. Heels don't really work with the Key West vibe. I seriously cannot recommend these enough!! I want them in the surf color too ;)

{summer accessory | straw hat}

If there's one thing I've learned recently... a cute wide brimmed hat is my best friend in this FL heat! It protects my face and shoulders from the sun, adds a cute touch to the outfit, and helps me stay a bit cooler with some shade!

I rarely let my face see the sun when I'm outside. I wear SPF every day and a hat as often as possible (even while I'm running) because I would rather wear bronzer and self tanner on my face than have wrinkles. Dramatic right? Oh well! I have around 10 hats and love switching them out daily as a way to style my look. My favorites are neutral but I have a cute black hat with detailing and a fun olive green one too. The best part about wearing sun hats, versus a ball cap, are you can wear any sunglasses with them and they won't get in the way. Plus, they don't mush your hair down!

{yellow dress in a daffodil field}

It's hard to not smile when you're surrounded by hundreds of daffodils and the sun is shining!

Photography by Kaise White // @kaise.white

A couple of weekends ago I ventured out to Burnside Farms with Kaise to shoot and was blown away at how beautiful all of the flowers were. Even though the tulips had almost all died (or been picked!) the daffodils were the true stunners. I love seeing these flowers growing all over the city because it's a true reminder that spring is here. Especially when you see them randomly growing along the side of the road - they're so resilient and keep coming back year after year.

It only made sense to throw on this little yellow sundress that I found on Amazon! I originally purchased it to wear on my birthday but it was a little rainy/cloudy so I'm glad I wore it early to the flower fields! The ties on the shoulder are adjustable and you can adjust the way the top gathers too. It made for such a light and comfortable dress in the sun while picking flowers! Who doesn't love a $19 dress too?! The material wasn't see through and I felt like it stayed wrinkle free pretty well too - we got Chipotle afterwards (shooting makes you hungry) and I still felt cute and put together after a burrito bowl ;)
Have you ever been to pick flowers before? This was my first time - I can't wait for sunflower season!
