I truly believe that you should spend your money on the classics. Items that you will wear time and time again. Sometimes a designer item becomes so popular that everyone marks it as an instant classic. It's tough to determine if that's really the case! I like to buy the knock-off, take it for a test drive and then determine if I really feel like shelling out the big bucks. Remember the Phillip Lim for Target collection? Genius. I snatched one of those babies right up!

I also love finding a good deal (and knock off!)… Points if they're in my price range. Have you found any stellar look-a-likes?

Love Always,
Jennifer

  1. I think for super trendy items it's ok to take the steal. However, I wouldn't even get the Valentinos because that shoe has been seen on everyone real or not. I would splurge on the RM bag (in a neutral color or one that you wear a lot of), because it's been around for seasons, so it would be an investment worthy piece.

    1. EXACTLY!! That's why I always buy my "trendy" pieces from cheap stores before spending a chunk of change. I'm not crazy about the Valentinos either... I might feel differently if I ever tried a pair on but I just feel like they are over-worn by this point. I was amazed at how many knock-offs there are. The RM bags are definitely gonna stick around - I think my first one would be neutral but that lavender is just so dang pretty (wish I had gotten it during the Nordstrom sale!)

I'm curious to hear what you think about the mirrored ray-bans?

      xoxo!
