{all white in dumbarton oaks}

I love an all white look... it reminds me of summer and just feels so timeless and classic!

The crispness of white on white... does it get any better? There's something so soothing about pairing white pieces together. It's a chance to play up texture or accessories in a bold color. In this case I wanted to be ultra feminine with the ruffles in this top. It's very lady like and I wanted to modernize it a bit with white skinny jeans (something every lady should have in her closet)! I decided to keep my purse and jewelry somewhat neutral along with my favorite nude heels - the beauty of the architectural surroundings is really what inspired me. I love how the arches cascade down the walkway similar to the ruffles on this blouse. It has a bit of an Italian feel to it and I felt as if I should be carring an Aperol Spritz in my hand. Wouldn't you agree? Someone book me a flight to Italy, please!

{why wearing all black is anything but boring}

Sure, some people think that wearing all black is a cop out and one of those "easy, go-to looks"... it is, don't get me wrong. But, that doesn't mean it has to be basic and boring!

Black Sweater, similar, similar from Target // Black pants (my everyday go-to's) // Black Suede Booties // Gigi New York Clutch // Lisi Lerch Tassel Earrings (cheaper version) // NARS Lipstick in "Heat Wave"

To me, wearing all black is anything BUT boring. It's an excuse to really show off some details or make a statement piece pop. It's also the perfect backdrop for a bright lip or mixing neutrals (brown, navy blue, white, leopard). This look is purely winter (it's still in the 40s right now) but I've been adding in some bright silk scarves over a black tshirt and pants and breaking out some of my spring jewelry with black dresses and tights - does anybody else categorize your jewelry into seasons?

This sweater was a Target find and I've worn it so many times I lost count (now sold out but this one is similar). The ruffles make this all black look lots of fun! Big sleeves seem to be the new statement go to and I have no problem with that! I love that ruffles and statement sleeves are finding their way into spring/summer pieces. I added my gold Lisi Lerch tassel earrings and camel colored Gigi New York clutch to dress it up.

I got these booties during Black Friday and wear them at least 3-4 times a week. They're super easy to dress up and I love that they're comfortable enough to stand in all day. The heel is nice and chunky so walking distances is no problem. I sprayed them with a suede protector so they've stayed very black! I've worn them to work with tights - the back of the ankle is elastic so they make your ankles look skinny and disappear up into your legs, creating the illusion of length! You know how everyone says if you really love something you should buy it in every color? Should've gotten these booties in brown and in black leather!!

{pink + rose gold}

Nordstrom PinkT-Shirt // Old Navy Jeans // Old Navy White Sweater // Coach Crossbody c/o //
Rose Gold Bar Bracelet // Rose Gold Daniel Wellington Cuff // Kendra Scott Necklace // Nordstrom Trolley Booties // Bite Lipstick in “Pastille”

Happy Valentine's Day, friends! I couldn’t help but pull together a very typical “month of love” look with pink and rose gold. This combo is pretty much what I wish I would wear every single day. It just feels so girly! A comfy cotton tee paired with jeans and the coziest sweater will put anyone in a good mood. Toss on booties and a stunning crossbody bag and you’re ready to go out with friends for brunch or head home for the weekend. Bonus points if you can wear this to work… casual Friday anyone?
