{valentine's day | bar cart}

I have loved my bar cart since the day I finally purchased it. Before I moved into my studio apartment I constantly thought about buying one but never had the perfect spot for it. Now I’m constantly changing it up, rearranging, and decorating it for any season Target can supply $1 items for ;)

This Valentine’s Day I knew I wanted to deck it with everything pink! I live alone so why not make my little space as girly as I possibly can?! First up was the pink garland – it was a silly purchase but I already have an idea on how I can reuse it (birthdays, bachelorettes, etc).

I then bought some adorable pink glasses, new paper straws, cocktail napkins, and reused the “cheer” stirrers from my Christmas décor! I found almost everything in the holiday section at the front of Target - it's my favorite place to stop by first because everything is $1-$5!

I found a bottle of “Love Noir” wine and mixed it in with my Winc wine purchases.  A cute cliché nod to the holiday don’t ya think?

I always have wine stoppers on hand and this new one from Hudson & Crane reminded me of Cupid’s bow and arrows. I stash all of my wine stoppers (and airplane bottles) in the mercury jar on the top - I kept this one out to act as a weight for the cocktail napkins.

To add the finishing touch I bought Hershy’s Hugs! I always have chocolate around my house… it just adds a festive touch and I like being able to grab a sweet bite on my way out the door. Plus, Valentine’s Day is all about the chocolate! I added more roses and chocolates on my coffee table too.

How do you decorate for the holiday? Do you like seeing home décor posts like this? Let me know in the comments below!

{BoConcept Georgetown}

It's no secret that I'm obsessed with home decor and design. My day job is at an architecture firm in downtown DC! One of my favorite things to do during lunch or after work is to walk down M St in Georgetown and window shop. I always love to pop in the furniture stores to gather some inspiration for work and for my own apartment (I'm constantly changing things around - coffee table layout, bookshelf styling, pillows, bedding, you get the idea....)

BoConcept invited me in to see their store after their new redesign and I was blown away! I came out with so many ideas and a hankering for some new light fixtures. If only my building would let me install a pendant!!

If you're in the Georgetown area you have to go and check out their new store. All of the pillows and little bowls right at the front of the store are perfect to add a quick pick-up to a space that needs something fresh! They also offer interior design services if you're in the market for a full-on redesign (perfect if you're completely starting over and don't even have a vase for flowers).

I love how they weren't afraid to mix different metals - each little accessory reminded me of a jewel. Pops of color and rich fabrics and textiles were everywhere.

BoConcept is a Danish furniture and design store. Their concept is simple - surround yourself with things that you like, what's important to you, and whatever makes it easier to live the life you love. They're passionate about making customized furniture for the urban-minded home owner!

I also found the PERFECT coffee table for anyone living in a small studio!!! I was so excited about this convertible table that I had to make a gif to show y'all how it works! Isn't it cool?? It goes from a coffee table to a dining room table in less than a minute!

They exemplify "thinking better" - always trying to find the best solution for a space. The three floors of the showroom showed off multiple ideas: a sofa for sitting up or lounging, a recliner chair that appears modern, or a sleeper sofa without the bulk.

They're having a magical grand opening party next week so be sure to RSVP - they told me about some of the entertainment and it truly is going to be pure magic ;)

{#NSale | home edition}

Whelp, the cat's out of the bag - I'm moving at the end of this month! I'm heading into the city (finally) and will be living by myself in a studio :) It's a pretty scary new adventure... I can't lie! However, what I'm most excited about is decorating my new space! All me. All mine. Now that is what I'm talking about! Everyone (including myself - check out my post here) keeps talking about all of the amazing clothes on sale but I recently browsed through the home section and it's just as good! I've listed my favorites below!

Psst! This post is shoppable - just click on the product you want to shop!

I'm going for a neutral look with textural and metal accents. I always make the big pops of color be in pieces that I can change out - like pillows, blankets, shelving decor, etc. Plus, I still have to purchase a sofa and furniture! Can't wait to bring it all together and show y'all :)
