{July Amazon Clothing Haul}

I'm so excited for today's post... who doesn't love amazing Amazon finds! When I was cleaning/purging my closet last week I decided to round up all of the clothing items I purchased in July and loved!! Plus two accessories that I juuuust got in - I've gotten some other accessories but I've already shared them here and there so they aren't featured in these photos. I'm really excited for the white dresses especially :) they're perfect options for any brides (or for white dress lovers like myself haha). I'm sharing videos of everything in this post in my Instagram stories today! I will be sure to save it all to a highlight as well.

I'm not going to lie - I grabbed this maxi because I knew Kyle would love this color! I loved the sweet little flowers all over it with pink in the middle. The smocked top is super comfortable and doesn't dig or feel tight across the top at all!

I technically got this jumpsuit in May but "lost" it in my closet... it fell off the hanger & I was so confused as to where it had gone. So it's being rediscovered and introduced with July because it's that good! I wore this on a sunset sail with Kyle and it was so comfortable to move in even when we were hot. I love the unique leg splits up the side - it has built in shorts so don't worry you won't expose too much skin!

The details on this dress are just out of this world! The gold balls on the end of the ties are metal (not cheap plastic), the ruffles are perfect, the sides go a little bit higher, the shoulder ties, and the amazing fabric with swiss dots. I couldn't believe how high quality this dress was. It's lined as well so you don't have to worry about it being see-through. If you're a bride this is a MUST purchase. How precious would this be on a honeymoon? Or even on a date night at your own house :)

Pink Midi Dress // Size Small

I have a thing for shoulder ties this summer... I'm beginning to notice more and more that it's a detail I really gravitate towards. It's such an easy way to add a little feminine detail. The shape of the dress itself is really flattering with the hi-lo hem on the skirt, the blousy top, and the nipped in waist with elastic. This dress came with a matching tie belt but I thought it was prettier without it. I surprisingly don't have that much pink in my closet so I knew I needed this dress in that color. The pattern is so vibrant in person!

I've apparently got a thing for navy blue jumpsuits... perhaps I feel like this color is better than black but still slimming? I also just love navy blue haha. The simplicity of this jumpsuit is why I fell in love with it. Straight cut across the top, loose fitting in the bodice, elastic around the waist, and then a removable tie. Plus, pockets! The fabric is cotton and really stretchy and breathable. Win win!

White Midi Dress // Size Small

Another white dress - I can't help myself!! This material is sooo nice. It's not a cotton but feels more like a linen with a satin touch to it. The top is double lined so you don't have to worry about wearing a bra if you don't feel like it. The bottom skirt isn't double lined (that's why you can see the pockets through it) but that didn't bother me. It almost gave it more of a relaxed feel in my opinion. Besides, nude underwear aren't visible through so you don't need to worry! If you're bigger chested the back of this has a looot of extra elastic and stretch to it. You can see some of the material billowing out on the right side in the photo!

Silk Scarf // Comes in so many beautiful colors! I loved how this one has a big butterfly on it. To get this look I rolled the scarf into a long "rope", tied it in a knot in the middle and placed on the top of my head, wrapped it underneath my ponytail, and then tied the ends on top of my hair tie.

Gold Python Necklace // Love that this has a chain at the back so you can wear it multiple lengths

{gold ana luisa jewelry}

Layering necklaces and rings has always been my go to jewelry move - there's just something so simple yet intricate about creating layers and different textures.

Living in a constant state of sunshine means that a lot of my favorite statement pieces can be a bit much for the heat. But, your girl here loves some serious sparkle! Even when I'm at the beach I always have my rings on - one of my favorite things to do is stack multiple bands on one finger for a unique look. It's a cool way to wear lots of styles at once and mix and match metals! I also am loving the layered necklace look right now. Ana Luisa has some of the coolest necklace sets I've seen... I love that they mix chain styles too! They make it pretty fool proof if you aren't good at layering ;) each charm looks so cute together and the necklaces can be worn individually too!

Now my outfit... I have been love love looooving the tie dye trend. Not the bright rainbow swirl tie dye. Ha - we're classing it up this season! Lots of soft colors, almost ombre, water like patterns. It's so dreamy and a great way to wear multiple colors in a pattern without it actually being a pattern. I saw this dress and knew I had to have it because 1) I love maxi dresses 2) it has pockets 3) adjustable straps! I'm wearing it super casual with no shoes and a sun hat but it looks adorable with heels, a waist belt, and a white jean jacket too! [I always like to imagine how I could wear something in an office.]

PS these photos were taken at Fort Zach! It's a great beach to spend the day at - family friendly too!

{striped maxi dress + leopard heels}

Exploring Dumbarton Oaks was still a highlight of my Spring - taking these photos felt like I had stepped in to a fairytale.

Things I love: maxi dresses, pink, bow details, turquoise, leopard, twirling, straw purses, and high heels. Combine them all together and you have one of my favorite looks I've put together. I love a romper and sandals in the summer but being super girly/feminine while mixing prints is a favorite as well. Put me in a dream like venue and I'm going to act like a princess dancing and twirling around haha. I love how this dress fit - super long so that it covered my heels (I'm 5'-6") and the tie straps were adjustable. The smocking around the bodice was so flattering and helped give me some shape which can be hard with maxis sometimes! This dress was made out of a light linen material so it breathed well in the hot sun. Y'all have seen me share these shoes before but they're so. dang. comfortable. I have them in nude as well and I swear I can practically run laps!!

Fun fact - you can buy or rent this dress! It's available on Rent the Runway! I had had it in my Nordstrom cart for a couple of weeks and when I saw it was available on RTR I quickly added it to my Unlimited order! Such an awesome way to sample things before purchasing. Use code JROGERS50 to get 50% off your first month of Unlimited!

Fun fact #2 - these are the first Kendra Scott earrings I owned... Throw back to 2013!!! They're some of my tried and true favorites. If you've been around since 2013 then you know my love for turquoise runs deeeeeep. I think it could easily pass as my favorite color (at least in the jewelry department for sure)!

{a stroll along the Chicago riverfront}

I've loved this dress since I wore it for the Fourth of July. The way it fits, the color, the details, everything. I'm still carrying this straw tote - even into the fall. I've been switching it up by adding pom pom tassels on the handle or adding a silk scarf. It's an easy way to change things up and personalize it! I wore this look in Chicago for a day of fun with my sister! We ate at The Hampton Social, went on the Wendell Architecture boat tour, and then walked around the city exploring! Nothing better than some girl time with your little sister :) Chicago has so many places to eat, drink, and explore - spending a week wasn't even enough! I love how Chicago has so many different bits of the city to explore between the water scene like Navy Pier and the downtown area where Eataly is.

I'll be doing a Travel Guide for Chicago soon along with a recap of The Blog Societies Conference - leave me any questions you have below and I'll be sure to include them in my roundups!
