{pink silk in charleston}

My first outfit post from Charleston! Yahoo! I wore this dress to the conference portion of the Southern Blog Society Conference. So basically all day… breakfast at 8am to speakers to meeting the sponsoring brands until 3pm. Phew!

You probably think I'm crazy… Silk in Charleston humidity? I know. I doubted myself at first too. The second I saw this dress I knew it would be perfect because of the color - It mimicked the pink architecture that you see lining the historic streets. The fit of the dress is also completely unique because I've never seen anything else cut like it. It caught the breeze in the coolest way and I was able to move perfectly. It never bunched or gathered in awkward places and I was able to walk and sit with ease. I'm so excited to wear this to even more fun events (cough cough CA wedding in August).

Going with the whole imitate Charleston theme I paired it with this olive green India Hicks clutch. There is old moss on every stone service and going up the trunks of palm trees. I loved how the rich color paired against the soft, pretty pink.

My outfit day 1 was a hit!! It was such fun to photograph it too so y'all could see the shape of it!

Love Always,

  6. Oh, I love Charleston. You picked a perfect background with the old mossy brick. It looks almost as beautiful as this pink dress on you! This is definitely your color. :) xoxo, Lindsey Dish
