So happy to be in a spring dress!
I stepped in a puddle and one shoe got wet… oh well

I wore this gorgeous dress to last weekend's beach wedding and the colors were perfect against the ocean water. I was originally planning on wearing wedges with it but we were barefoot on the beach for the ceremony and I decided to throw on my Jack Rogers so I could dance better later - Those boys love to swing dance, let me tell ya! It makes for a pretty darn good time :)
I love the cut of this because it was so comfortable to dance and move in. I never got hot and the skirt caught the breeze in the prettiest way! I paired it with simple gold jewelry and my turquoise clutch to really emphasize the beach look.
PS - I wanted to say thank you for everyone's kind words and comments on my IG post last night. I am still totally blown away by how thoughtful and sincere y'all are when you barely know my Dad and his condition. He is really an incredible guy. I don't talk about his cancer because it makes it seem more real - It scares me to say it out loud (yes, even after 2 years). It's interesting because I will hold it all in not wanting people to pity me but then the second I open my heart and share my emotions y'all make me feel more loved and secure than I have in awhile. I feel like this platform has given me a whole new way to express myself - I truly view it as a way to connect with people and perhaps make a difference in someone else's life. Last night I had a friend reach out to me about her similar situation and I can't tell you how moved I was. I never want someone to be in this position but knowing that I helped give her a bit of courage to take away made me feel like sharing my words was the right thing to do. I want you to all know that if you need a friend - I will always be here for you as well. Thank you for giving me the courage to stand up to my biggest fears.
