You know those seemingly hidden spots that you walk by daily and never realize what's in front of you the entire time? That was La Concha Hotel for me - it's right on Duval Street. We walked past it almost daily when I was in Key West 4 years ago and daily when I was there last month. Always thinking "hmm, that place looks really cool we should check it out" but never actually doing anything to discover what it was. Turns out it has the coolest wine bar and the best spa in all of Key West.

One of the wines we tried was Miraval - which is Brad & Angelina Jolie's Winery!

Kristyn and I sampled the rose flight to start, enjoyed lots of appetizers (basically a meal), and then ended with a pinot noir flight (our favorite red)! We enjoyed admiring the cool decor, discovering the secret door to the rest of the hotel, and snapped some photos - in true blogger fashion. Taking a break from the heat and stepping inside to enjoy AC and cold, delicious wine was such a fun change of pace! I can't recommend this place enough for people wanting a break from the crammed, hot, sweaty bars :) It was a perfect way to start off the night!

I mentioned in my Key West Travel Guide last week that the trick is to wear clothing that will keep you cool. This lightweight, off the shoulder dress was perfect for a night out on Duval. I ended up putting my hair in a bun because it was super humid that night. It felt great to have bare shoulders after a long day in the sun (a day at Sunset Keys!).

PS. La Concha also is home to Top Spa! It was the highest views of the island (basically 360 degree view) and all of their services are incredible. Kristyn and I were treated to a Swedish massage and a pedicure with views of the water the entire time. The room would've been fantastic even without the massages haha! It was a great way to unwind after the crazy Ultimate Adventure we had the day before. Note to self to stay at La Concha for my next visit to KW... then everything is right at my fingertips ;)
